Alliance Cancer Specialists, the most extensive community-based oncology practice in Southeastern PA, is growing our Clinical team! We are seeking an Patient Transport. The perfect candidate will be a compassionate, detail-oriented individual excited to join our hardworking team here at Alliance. This position will primarily be located at our Langhorne Practice.

The Patient Transport Specialist will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients from the hospital's front entrance to the ACS practice within the facility. This temporary role requires excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach to ensure a positive and comfortable experience for all individuals in our care.


Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival at the hospital entrance.
  • Provide safe and courteous transport of patients to their designated practice.
  • Assist patients with mobility aids, such as wheelchairs or walkers, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and medical staff to provide clear information and updates as needed.
  • Maintain a patient-centered approach, offering assistance and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Adhere to hospital protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Report any concerns or incidents promptly to the appropriate medical personnel.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure smooth operations during the transitional period.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in patient transport or a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a compassionate and friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to assist patients and handle mobility aids.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential.
