Senior Manager, Decision Support

Ready to manage a team responsible for financial analysis and capital approval processes? The Senior Manager of Decision Support will be responsible for financial modeling for enterprise sales opportunities and fiber network expansion. The person in this role establishes operational objectives and work plans and reviews objectives to determine team success.


  • Assist with development and provide ongoing support for complex financial analysis related to enterprise business, including efforts surrounding fiber network expansion opportunities
  • Evaluate individual sales opportunities requiring capital or other investment. Provide oversight of implementation for decision support processes and business rules
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including sales, engineering, product, order management and sales support, to evaluate complex opportunities
  • Evaluation, analysis and oversight of pricing and terms of individual sales opportunities, especially those involving complex financial modeling and potentially large capital intensive transactions (capital risk management)
  • Responsible for the development, testing and execution of financial models
  • Provide analytical support to various internal groups related to pricing decisions (individual opportunities as well as larger, product-based support)
  • Attract and retain highly effective staff through mentoring, coaching, development, appraisal and motivation techniques

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

  • 8+ years working in finance or the telecom industry; three or more years working in a management role

Skills:

  • Demonstrated analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Capability to develop and understand financial models and analyze financial returns
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel or other computer software
  • Can document, prepare and present data-driven presentations
  • Manage a team of finance professionals with prioritizing multiple projects
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management within the organization
