This position is within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology's clinical research arm at University of Missouri - Kansas City, assisting investigators with basic to moderately complex clinical research studies; may be responsible for multiple research studies simultaneously, acting as a liaison with the school, sponsoring agency, community and the study participants; responsible for managing and recording all phases of study protocol as required by sponsoring agency to ensure compliance. 1. Routinely implements and manages all phases of study/protocol; ensures compliance with protocol guidelines and requirements of regulatory agencies; establishes record-keeping systems; completes assessments and determinations of participants' progress in the study according to assigned schedules. 2. Assists Clinical Research Coordinator with tasks including ensuring maintenance of IRB protocols; investigates, and reports adverse events; makes decisions as to when to notify research team leads/clinicians of issues including participant exclusion or protocol adjustments. Monitor and ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness, working with clinical teams to align data capture with research protocols and compliance standards. 3. Routinely recruits and enrolls study participants; participates in making determinations of eligibility based on diagnostic criteria and/or observations/analyses in participant interviews; conducts enhanced screening intervention with pregnant people enrolled in the study and assists in follow-up visits with participants as needed. 4. Assists with community outreach and advocacy with participants, including helping with barriers to care engagement. Assists with academic and public dissemination events and annual community forums. 5. Conduct predictive modeling and trend analyses to support prospective research questions. Continuously enhance reporting systems and tools, offering innovative solutions for analytics pipelines and automation. 6. Serves as a resource to Research Aides including assisting with any issues that arise from performing research duties, and contacting the Clinical Research Coordinator as needed. 7. Performs other duties incidental to the work described herein. This is a full-time, benefit eligible, unranked academic position. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Strong customer service skills and thorough understanding and working knowledge of patient/client confidentiality issues and HIPAA compliance/regulations. Effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of and experience with IRB and REDCap, Excel and other research data programs. Experience with research studies, preferably in clinic settings. Master's degree in either data science, statistics, or health informatics, or a related quantitative field. Anticipated Hiring Range
