Datavant
United States
May 23, 2025

Datavant is a data platform company and the world's leader in health data exchange. Our vision is that every healthcare decision is powered by the right data, at the right time, in the right format.

Our platform is powered by the largest, most diverse health data network in the U.S., enabling data to be secure, accessible and usable to inform better health decisions. Datavant is trusted by the world's leading life sciences companies, government agencies, and those who deliver and pay for care.

By joining Datavant today, you're stepping onto a high-performing, values-driven team. Together, we're rising to the challenge of tackling some of healthcare's most complex problems with technology-forward solutions. Datavanters bring a diversity of professional, educational and life experiences to realize our bold vision for healthcare.

Role Description:

We are looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of Site Connect, Datavant's core interoperability product enabling scalable, secure, and standards-based connectivity between providers and third parties. This is a highly cross-functional role at the intersection of platform, integration, and operations, with a focus on building both scalable solutions and supporting custom implementations as needed.

You will drive the product vision and roadmap, work closely with customers and internal teams to define and deliver integrated solutions, and play a critical role in shaping how Datavant powers digital connectivity across healthcare providers.

In this role you will:

  • Define and Own the Strategy for Site Connect: Establish long-term product direction, customer value proposition, and market differentiation
  • Lead Cross-Functional Execution: Partner with engineering, operations, solution design, sales, and implementation to deliver scalable and secure interoperability features
  • Balance Productization vs. Customization: Guide decisions on what to build as repeatable platform capabilities versus where custom solutions are needed-working with Operations to deliver efficiently
  • Develop Operating Models: Collaborate with Sales, Solution Design, and Operations to define scalable processes for customer onboarding and solution delivery
  • Drive Customer-Centric Planning: Engage directly with customers to understand use cases, synthesize needs, and translate them into roadmap priorities
  • Influence Long-Term Vision: Expand Site Connect's scope beyond near-term integrations to define how it supports provider data exchange across all verticals-payers, life sciences, and providers.
  • Establish Product Metrics: Define and track KPIs around adoption, integration success, and operational efficiency to guide future investment and platform evolution.
  • Expand our Provider Network by streamlining onboarding, improving integration tooling, and investing in reusable connection frameworks
  • Align with evolving federal interoperability requirements (e.g., TEFCA, Cures Act) and incorporate relevant standards (FHIR, HL7, CDA, X12, Direct) into product strategy

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 10 years of experience in product management & leadership, with at least 3+ years in a platform or interoperability-focused role in healthcare or a related industry
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data exchange standards and regulatory frameworks
  • Strong track record of working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams (engineering, ops, solution design, and sales).
  • Customer-obsessed: able to translate ambiguous customer needs into scalable, structured product requirements
  • Technically adept-comfortable engaging in architecture discussions, API design, and data model tradeoffs
  • Strategic mindset with strong execution skills-you think big but sweat the details
  • Excellent communicator who can influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Kindness, smartness, and the ability to Get Things Done. You are an individual with low-ego, understanding that there is no job too big and no job too small for anyone on the team
  • A colleague who is willing to work cross-functionally to solving challenging problems, regardless of how ambiguous those problems may be
  • You are passionate about building a business that transforms the healthcare industry
