Overview

The Premium Audit Specialist is responsible for conducting both physical and virtual audits on high-complexity accounts, ensuring the accuracy of exposure development. This role focuses on AmTrust's larger accounts and involves managing the most complex and high-profile audits. The specialist verifies premium base exposures in accordance with policy terms, regulatory guidelines, and company procedures, while upholding AmTrust's mission, vision, and values.



Responsibilities

    Audit Execution:
    With minimal management oversight performs premium audits on larger and complex Workers' Compensation and General Liability policies, ensuring accurate development of premium based exposures through detailed examination of financial and operational records, and extensive interview.
  1. Territory Management:
    Conducts audits within an assigned territory, with a focus on large complex accounts. May require overnight travel.
  2. Client Engagement:
    Delivers value-added services such as onboarding calls for new business and regular check-ins with key account stakeholders.
  3. Account Liaison:
    Serves as the primary contact for assigned accounts, collaborating closely with insureds, underwriters, account managers, and producers.
  4. Issue Resolution:
    Identifies and resolves complex audit disputes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. Coordinates communication between insured and other departments to address non audit related issues.
  5. Regulatory Compliance:
    Validates classification accuracy based on governing agency rules and company procedures. Assists with test audits and bureau inquiries as needed.
  6. Audit Review:
    Communicates audit findings and results to producers, underwriters, insureds, and internal leadership.
  7. Mentorship:
    Provides technical guidance, coaching, and support to learning & development across the audit department.
  8. Customer Service:
    Delivers exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders throughout the audit lifecycle.
  9. Continuous Learning:
    Stays current with industry trends, manual rules, and regulatory changes.
  10. Additional Duties:
    Performs other related tasks as assigned to support departmental goals.


Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in premium auditing, particularly within Workers' Compensation and General Liability.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex audit assignments.
  • Willingness to travel overnight when required (less than 10%).

*The perference is for this position to be in office on a hybrid basis.*
