Your Role: Leadership-Driven, Technical, and Client-Focused As a Geotechnical Project Engineer - Project Manager based in Cincinnati, OH, you will lead a variety of geotechnical projects from initial planning through execution. This role blends engineering expertise with project management, client coordination, and team mentorship-supporting critical infrastructure like roadways, bridges, and commercial sites. What You'll Do: Manage geotechnical projects from subsurface exploration to final recommendations, ensuring technical accuracy and efficiency Evaluate field and lab data to develop sound engineering solutions for foundations, slope stability, and ground improvement Prepare detailed technical reports and proposals, while participating in business development opportunities Communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors to maintain alignment and solve project challenges Mentor junior staff and support a positive, safety-first, and collaborative work culture What We're Looking For: A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Mining, or a related engineering field A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering A Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire A minimum of 1-3 years of project management, supervisory, or team leadership experience, a plus A strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD What to Expect: With the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Outdoor, hands-on work in all weather conditions and outside normal business hours as needed Walking on uneven terrain and maneuvering field equipment such as a loaded wheelbarrow Lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs. of field or lab equipment and samples Occasional out-of-town travel and overnight stays for project assignments Why Join S&ME?
