Network Engineer needed for a contract opportunity with SOC's client to work on-site in Ridgecrest, CA.

*Active Secret clearance required*

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6+ years experience in a broad range of assignments in technical tasks directly related to the proposed area of responsibility.

  • Develop from the ground up of new A&A, RMF, ATO, ATC packages.
  • Support POAM tracking and planning.
  • Review and map system architecture for cyber compliance.
  • Populate ATO artifacts in appropriate central repository (eMASS, RMF, etc)
  • Support integration of new system into secure baselines.
  • Support gaining of an ATO for Legacy systems and components.
  • Work closely with Government ISSO/ISSM to ensure the proper application of all appropriate security measures.
  • Harden software and firmware baselines against STIGs; configure and validate boundary defense mechanisms.
  • Apply encryption for data at rest and in transit per DOD standards.
  • Scan systems and servers for vulnerabilities.
  • Create vulnerability reports.
  • Build and deploy Windows, Ubuntu, RHEL, and other systems.
  • Apply STIGS to deployed systems.
  • Generate IAVM reports.
  • Work with Engineers and Software Developers to ensure the proper application of security requirements.
  • Develop and maintaining systems security plans, assessment plans, risk assessment reports, and ConMon plans and procedures.
  • Provide inputs to CONOPS and system design documents.
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware issues.
  • Train System Administrators and others on cyber security responsibilities.
  • Monitor and track key dates for interim and conditional ATOs.
