A Material Handler job opportunity is open with our client Alpharetta, GA. In this role you will be responsible for inventory management and ERP systems. Sort, counts and checks raw materials, finished and semi-finished parts. To be consider for this role you will have High school diploma or equivalent (additional relevant certifications or education preferred).AS9100 certification is required. Proven experience as a Materials Handler or in a similar role, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.

Material Handler Job Duties:
*Inventory management and ERP systems. Sort, counts and checks raw materials, finished and semi-finished parts.
*Issues material to WO and follows Bill of Material and Work Order Routing Responsible for inventory accuracy at all levels.
*Maintains inventory on hand and stockroom data files Performs required cycle counts. Audits stocking locations to ensure system transaction accuracy.
* Performs shipping and receiving activities.
* Understands and can research and reconcile Inventory Can process MRP transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
*Ensuring efficient inventory control, accurate documentation, and compliance with AS9100 requirement.
*Identify and properly label materials for storage or distribution, ensuring adherence to AS9100 requirements.
*Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels, reconcile discrepancies, and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
* Implement proper storage techniques to ensure the preservation and protection of materials, including adherence to handling and environmental requirements
*Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of incoming and outgoing materials, including quantities, lot numbers, serial numbers, and other relevant information.
*Create and update material handling documents, such as packing lists, bills of lading, and inventory reports.
* Ensure all documentation is completed accurately, promptly, and in compliance with AS9100 standards.AS9100 Compliance
*Participate in audits and inspections related to AS9100 compliance, providing necessary documentation and support.
*Identify areas for improvement in material handling processes to enhance efficiency and meet AS9100 standards.
*Collaborate with quality assurance and other departments to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
* Collaborate with procurement, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure timely and accurate material availability for manufacturing.
*Provide support to other departments, as needed, by fulfilling material requests and maintaining proper material flow.
Knowledge/Skills/Education/Experience

*High school diploma or equivalent (additional relevant certifications or education preferred).AS9100 certification is required.
*Proven experience as a Materials Handler or in a similar role, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
*Strong knowledge of AS9100 requirements and experience implementing them in daily operations.
*Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
*Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality.
*Proficiency in using computer systems and software for inventory management and documentation.
*Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate material handling equipment safely.
*Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various departments.
*Familiarity with Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
