Duties, Responsibilities & Other

    Interface between users and project managers bridging the gap between technology and business stakeholders
  • Perform detailed requirements analysis and the documentation of business processes, test cases and user stories.
  • Participate in testing and validating new systems and processes to meet business requirements
  • Identify and prioritize technical and functional requirements
  • Engage with stakeholders and users to understand how data-driven changes to processes, products, services, software, and hardware can improve efficiencies and add value
  • Develop and document business process models to illustrate current and future states and optimization strategies
  • Propose and evaluate solutions to determine what is technologically feasible and financially and functionally reasonable
  • Stay current on the latest process and technology advancements to automate and modernize systems
  • Work efficiently in a team setting on projects to successful completion
  • Exercise judgement in developing and implementing methods and techniques to obtain desired results following industry best practices
  • Deliver services within the allocated budget
  • Develop functional and technical documentation
  • Regularly interact and build relationships with team members, managers, customers, and business partners including
    • Support development of proposals in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs)
    • Support business development and marketing initiatives by meeting with customers and prospective customers, attending industry events, and giving presentations
  • Comply with all KCI policies and procedures
  • Complete other duties as required/assigned

Specialized Experience:

  • IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional or PMI Professional in Business Analytics certification is preferred
  • Experience in transportation, utilities, water, and state/local government markets is preferred
  • Experience delivering solutions on a team using Agile framework approach is preferred
  • Experience serving as a team member providing technology consulting services is preferred
  • Knowledge of geospatial concepts and Esri solutions is preferred


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field is required. Experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Minimum three years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
  • IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional or PMI Professional in Business Analytics certification is preferred
  • Experience in utilities, facilities, transportation, water, and/or state/local government markets is preferred
  • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
