Researchers in the Emergency Department screen all incoming children for potential study inclusion and consent eligible patients. Clinical Research Assistants support multiple different Principle Investigators and Faculty in the Emergency Department. The number of active studies recruiting in the Emergency Department varies, but ranges from approximately 10 to 15 at a given time. The studies vary in nature and scope, with the overarching goal of improving the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in children. Research studies are primarily clinical in nature, although occasional transfer of blood and other specimens is required for enrollment. This position involves frequent interaction with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers, as well as with children and their parents, requiring researchers to maintain an appropriate level of professionalism. Clinical Research Assistant will have rotating schedule working day, evenings and some weekend shifts. Key Responsibilities
