Alongside the team, you will be assigned to a variety of projects in your chosen area of interest, working to deliver sustainable outcomes for our clients and the communities they serve. With guidance from a professional engineer and our global practice network, your responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to: Actively participating in project, client and team meetings Gaining exposure to project, commercial, and client management Attending site inspections, tests, audits, and investigations Monitoring and reporting status of projects Analyzing reports, specifications, and studies Observing and supporting day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities in a transit agency setting Becoming familiar with rolling stock maintenance practices, rules and regulations Gaining knowledge of proposals and technical specification development. To be considered for this co-op/intern position, you will currently beworking towards a master's degree or abachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, with a focus on transportation, from an accredited university. This candidate will be based in our Los Angeles, CA office. We are looking for students with the following characteristics: Prior relevant internships, co-ops, or practical work-experience preferred Methodical approach to problem solving Ability to use your initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using AutoCAD and Civil3D preferred Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a team of professionals who are deeplycommitted to exceeding client expectations Our teams are comprised of bright and enthusiastic people who wish to make a difference to the world that we live in. The expected salary for this position is $17.00 - $33.00 per hour. Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
