Responsibilities

Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed private mental health hospital in a relaxed setting in Greenville, Texas. Our comfortable, homelike atmosphere is conducive to healing for the adults and seniors we treat. Our greatest asset is the staff, comprised of psychiatrists, professional nurses, social workers and therapists. These individuals work as a team to uphold Glen Oaks Hospital's reputation for excellence in helping patients resolve mental health and addiction problems. For over 30 years, Glen Oaks Hospital has been a leader in the field of mental health and chemical dependency care, and our staff is dedicated to researching the latest treatment approaches and applying this to our overall treatment philosophy.

The Driver provides transportation of patients to and from the facility for pre-scheduled appointments; providing continuous observation, interaction, and role modeling to the patients while maintaining safety at all times. May function in a patient care capacity as a backup as Mental Health Technician (MHT) - only as applicable.

Hours: Varied hours throughout the week, including wekeends and holidays.


Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or equivalent.

Experience: One (1) year of transportation services experiences preferred. Priority given to applicants with experience transporting patients.

Licensure: Maintains a valid, class specific driver's license applicable to the transportation

of patients.

Additional Requirements: Must be 18 years or older and have a clean driving record as obtained from the Department of Public Safety. Must complete training in CPR and HWC (Handle with Care) - non-violent crisis prevention and restrain training. Training may be obtained during 1st week of employment during new hire orientation. May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
