Project Coordinator - Facility Design and Construction Team

Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our Facility Design and Construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of various construction and design projects. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of a healthcare environment that promotes patient care and staff efficiency. The role requires excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. The position operates Monday through Friday during regular business hours.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of project management principles and practices
• Knowledge of healthcare facility design and construction processes
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, ProCore)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and establish effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and execution of design and construction projects to ensure they meet project goals, timelines, and budgets
• Coordinate communication between project stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and internal teams
• Maintain project documentation, including schedules, meeting minutes, budgets, contracts, invoices, reports, and close outs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
• Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential issues and developing solutions to keep projects on track
• Organize and participate in project meetings, providing updates and facilitating discussions to ensure effective collaboration
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project status and compliance with design specifications and safety regulations
• Support the development and management of project budgets, tracking expenditures and assisting with financial reporting
• Provide administrative support to the Facility Design and Construction team as needed

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: College degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture or equivalent experience in a related field required.
2. License/Certifications: N/A
3. Experience: Experience in project management required. Experience in the healthcare environment preferred.
4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Strong computer skills.
5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Understanding of Critical Path Method of project scheduling. Basic knowledge of general architecture, engineering, plant operations and construction administration.
