Position Description:

In the role of a Grants Operations Coordinator Sr. you will be working in our Pediatrics Department.

Purpose

Coordinates the pre-award budget planning and the post-award administration of various grants assigned to one or more pediatric divisions. Interacts with investigators and administrative staff to ensure that grants are in compliance with regulatory, funding agency, and policy requirements. Provides guidance and support to investigators in the identification and development of grant opportunities.

Primary Functions

  • Assists administrative staff and research team in the creation, negotiation, and administration of grants, contracts, and research proposals.
  • Assists with pre-award budget development for applications. Reviews all proposals prior to submission and confirm compliance with sponsor guidelines, as well as with Institution policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates the grant process from development and submission to the post-award stage. Collaborate with the Grants and Contracts Office and the Office of Sponsored Programs on facilitation of these awards.
  • Ensures compliance with sponsor terms, MCW policies/procedures, and federal regulations.
  • Identifies funding sources and administers grant budgets.
  • May consolidate sources of information to ensure application document requirements are complete. Maintains detailed, up-to-date records and templates of PIs other support.
    • Ensures compliance with grant guidelines, budgets, and stipulations. Keeps updated on all new federal and state regulations that apply to the grant process; interprets agency-specific guidelines/regulations that apply to the proposal and awards process.
    • Tracks the status of pending applications and follows up with investigators regarding review/funding status of applications.
    • Interprets regulations and guidelines for program funding for standard grants and prepares periodic reports.
      • Generates forecasts to analyze financial trends, funding resources, and research impact of decisions on grant funding budgets.
      • Analyzes monthly financial performance compared to Sponsor budget. Research variances and provide insight as to why they are occurring.
      • Maintains records of division grant activity and provides reports to leadership upon request.
      • Other research related system support including iLab and Forte administration.
      • Oversee completion of special projects as assigned.
  • Conducts financial analysis and reconciliation, analyzes Income statements, and prepares accurate and timely reports.
  • Generates forecasts to analyze financial trends, funding resources and research impact of decisions and RO

All remote work must be performed within one of the MCW registered payroll states, which currently includes: WI, AZ, FL, IL, IN, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, TN,TX, and UT.



Knowledge - Skills - Abilities

Knowledge of economics, accounting, mathematics, administration, English language, law, government, and human resources.

Work requires resource management, mathematics, problem solving, coordinating work activities, critical thinking, systems analysis, operations analysis, time management, writing, active listening, and active learning skills.

Speech clarity, speech recognition, finger dexterity, and wrist-finger speed while operating computers abilities required.

Preferred Schedule:




Full-time role with expectations for coverage during core business hours and flexibility required as necessary to accommodate business needs.

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree

Minimum Required Experience: 6 years of experience

Preferred Education: Master's Degree

Preferred Experience: 3 Years experience


Target salary range for this position is between $73,000.00 and $93,00.00 annually. The final offered salary will depend on the applicant's education, experience, skills, and knowledge, as well as considerations of internal equity and market alignment.
