We are looking for a highly experienced and passionate professional to join our team as the Global Bioanalytical Quality Technical Manager in the Process R&D, Health and Biosciences (H&B) division, based in Wilmington, Delaware. The Global Quality Technical group collaborates with R&D, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Global QA across the Health & Biosciences Businesses to lead, guide, and transfer quality best practices.
The Bioanalytical Team serves as subject matter experts on cross-functional teams to advance the Health & Biosciences mission and vision related to product commercialization, manufacturing, and registrations. The Team is responsible for services, transfer activities, qualification, and scientific solutions utilizing analytical methods and tools to support suitable, reliable, compliant, and repeatable first-pass first-quality (FPFQ). The Team is responsible for generating, maintaining, and distributing enzyme standards and controls for global quantification and product release. They own the global manufacturing SQC program to ensure best quality practices. The Team supports global product stewardship through method development, knowledge sharing, and the transfer of analytical methods for the safe use and handling of enzymes. Key areas of focus include enzymology, HPLC, combustion analysis (organic and protein), ELISA, gel electrophoresis, spectroscopy, physical properties, and the development and application of new technologies.
As the Manager of the Global Bioanalytical Quality Technical Team, you will serve as a key technical leader, cross-functional collaborator, advisor, coach and champion to a dynamic team of scientists and quality professionals to deliver high-quality methods, processes and programs while driving innovation and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for the daily operations of the laboratory and establishing key functional strategies with your Team to successfully meet business milestones and objectives.

Job Responsibilities: Team Management
- Responsible for oversight of team members' development, training, goal setting, performance review, coaching, and counseling to ensure a high-performing, agile, and responsive technical organization.
- Evaluate and develop the succession plan and alignment of resources to support the needs of the Health and Biosciences business.
- Promote a team culture that is collaborative, diverse and inclusive, fostering innovation and knowledge-sharing to inspire excellence and achieve outstanding results.
- Works with leaders to establish group/competency goals & objectives to meet business strategy/tactics.
- Champions projects/solutions and influences the organization to deploy necessary resources aligned with business strategy and priorities.
- Encourages and participates in establishing an open safety and scientific dialog in the work group.
- Leads, participates and facilitates Team involvement in safety committees or task teams.
Technical Leadership
- Key interface and central liaison among Plant QA/QC, R&D, Plant Technology and Operations, Product Stewardship and Regulatory, external labs, customers, and vendors, ensuring team members are empowered to collaborate and lead within these networks.
- Lead and guide research and development initiatives by applying deep scientific expertise and fostering a culture of curiosity, innovation, and continuous learning across the team.
- Oversee method development, validation, and implementation with a strategic focus on capability building, including CAPEX planning and equipment commissioning to support long-term team growth.
- Work directly with Team, suppliers, and other departments to determine root cause of any deviation in analysis protocols or results. Ensures corrective actions are put in place to prevent future/repeat occurrences.
- Oversight for standard operating procedures to ensure appropriate training on methods and that results are validated against industry standards as needed.
- Champion innovative thinking by encouraging team-driven solutions that address commercialization and business needs, while actively developing technical depth and cross-functional skills.
- Identify and solve complex, ambiguous challenges by nurturing talent, fostering resilience, and aligning team capabilities with future organizational needs.
- Facilitate strategic direction and align Team members to provide mentorship to project teams, enabling them to advance technical solutions and drive projects to successful completion.
- Serve as a key collaborator, consultant, and coach ensuring project, product, process, and compliance goals are met through team empowerment and shared accountability.
- Translate technology opportunities into business value by helping team members and stakeholders understand its relevance, and by building their confidence and competence in applying it.
- Strengthen partnerships with business counterparts by leveraging market insights and enabling the team to deliver impactful, application-driven solutions.
Job Requirements:
- A Ph.D., master's or bachelor's degree in bioanalytical science, biochemical engineering, biochemistry chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in bioanalytical science, with a strong knowledge in enzyme analytical tools and techniques.
- Proven Manager with strong leadership, team, and project management skills, with experience overseeing multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in people, project, program and operational management with the ability to manage multiple, changing priorities in a dynamic, diverse and fast-paced environment.
