Rutgers School of Health Professions (
SHP) is seeking a Program Assistant to work in the
SHP Dean's Office.
In this role, the Program Assistant provides administrative support for the Health Sciences program, a collaborative initiative between Rutgers School of Health Professions (
SHP) and New Jersey high schools. The Program Assistant also manages the testing process for high school students to determine eligibility for
SHP courses and serves as the primary administrative liaison between teachers, administrators, and program staff. Additionally, the Program Assistant coordinates program activities, events, and logistics, including scheduling, communication, and record-keeping.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Provides administrative support for the Health Sciences program, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and supporting the program with various administrative tasks.
- Prepares and coordinates reports, documents, and other materials as needed, including data entry, tracking, and analysis to support program operations and evaluation.
- Creates and maintains spreadsheets, and mailing lists for program tracking and communication, including managing data for over 5,000 students.
- Organizes and plans all aspects of testing with area high schools, including coordinating logistics, communicating with school partners, and ensuring compliance with program requirements.
- Organizes and plans aspects of recognition ceremonies, Career College fairs, and other program events, including coordinating logistics, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with program requirements.
- Communicates with high school partners, parents, and students as directed by the Associate Dean, providing excellent customer service and responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree. 2-3 years of administrative experience, preferred in an educational setting.
- Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
