Position Summary:

The Senior Financial Project Manager is responsible for working independently on the development of operating and capital budgets, cash flow projections, and strategic mid and long-term financial plans. In addition, the position will perform independent, strategic, internal, and external financial analyses, such as business planning for new practices or expansion of practices and capital project return on investment for JHCP growth opportunities. The position manages budgeting, reporting, and financial management functions for assigned lines of business within JHCP.

The person in this position will partner with JHCP service line management regarding revenue cycle reporting, P&L variance analysis, and other ad hoc operational and financial reporting projects, leveraging and managing existing financial resources as necessary. This position will work closely with regional leadership to develop opportunities for improvement in financial performance. This will require developing an in-depth knowledge of operations and effective working relationships with operational and physician leadership. The position will be responsible for verifying the accounting of service line income and expense ledgers and supporting Regional and Site level leadership with the development and monitoring of their annual operating and capital plans.

The position will also be involved in the evaluation and development of new reporting tools, dashboards, and benchmarking through the use of reporting tools such as Tableau. The position will be expected to perform complex analyses of physician practice financial and performance metrics, including the maintenance of physician compensation models.

Education: Requires a professional level of knowledge as evidenced by a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or healthcare administration, an MBA/MHA, and/or a CPA is highly preferred.

Knowledge: Requires knowledge of corporate finance as it relates to all aspects of medicine which may include the following: budget processes, financial analysis for health care programs and projects, hospital and physician billing procedures and systems, cost accounting principles, managed care relationships, financial reporting, management and development of staff and experience with data bases and managing data into meaningful information. A knowledge of industry benchmarking and other tools (MGMA, AAMC, AMGA, etc.), as well as working knowledge of SAP and Epic modules related to billing and financial reporting, is highly preferred. A knowledge of SAP general ledger and financial reporting, and basics of billing procedures in Epic are preferred, as well as knowledge of corporate financial planning, development of business plans, and the Tableau reporting tool will be beneficial.

Work Experience: Seven years of related financial experience, including involvement in financial planning, reporting, and benchmarking. A demonstrated knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis is required. Experience in the use of software applications, databases, and spreadsheets is required, and prior experience with financial reporting tools such as Tableau is preferred. Experience with SAP and Epic is preferred.

Salary Range: $37.04/hour - $61.16/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
