POSITION SPECIFICS

Program Planning and Management (PPM), a unit within World Campus, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our team as an Academic Program Coordinator - Intermediate Support.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with academic partners through effective communication, knowledge of applicable policies and resources, and sharing of information and data.

  • Communicate with faculty, staff, and students; respond to inquiries related to individual courses, degree requirements, or the overall academic program.

  • Maintain course offering schedules and rollouts and disseminate updates to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Work with the program coordinator team to apply program knowledge to enter course offerings in LionPATH, including section, instructor, and enrollment management information.

  • Create and maintain timeline to plan and track new program development and share reminders and updates with stakeholders.

  • Exercise professional judgement with tasks related to course enrollment and the override process.

  • Apply knowledge of iTwo and LionPATH to pull queries, interpret data, and create reports and detailed presentations for internal and external partners.

  • Send student accessibility notifications to World Campus instructors and stakeholders on a semesterly basis.

  • Facilitate the resolution of faculty and student academic concerns.

  • Build and maintain an extensive knowledge base of unit processes and university policies.

  • Create and distribute agendas for academic program team meetings and meetings with stakeholders; draft and send meeting notes.

  • Participate in cross-unit projects and serve on committees as needed.

  • Assist in the offering of faculty services and events.

  • Resolve issues related to the above with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment

  • Customer focused, proactive, flexible, and embraces change

  • Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate a proactive demeanor

  • Work experience using Microsoft Office 365 tools (Teams, Word, Excel, Forms, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)

  • Interest in learning job-related software

  • Experience with higher education software systems such as LionPATH and iTwo preferred

  • Demonstrates a genuine appreciation for working with diverse populations

  • Experience in higher education preferred

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Additional Information:

Typical working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.This is a hybrid position that combines in-person and remote work with in-person activities located at the University Park campus. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS) 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. Penn State does not sponsor or take over sponsorship of a staff employment Visa. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $38,300.00 - $55,500.00.
