POSITION SPECIFICS

The Department of Mathematics in the Eberly College of Science is seeking qualified candidates for an Academic Program Coordinator in the Undergraduate Office. Responsibilities of the Academic Program Coordinator include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Undergraduate Office, welcoming visitors and providing general information. Manage incoming phone calls and the undergraduate email groups, directing inquiries and requests to the appropriate staff member for follow-up.
  • Coordinate and manage the student course evaluation process (MSEEQ/SEEQ), ensuring timely distribution, collection, and processing of evaluation materials.
  • Monitor and maintain records of course syllabi submissions, instructor office hours, and textbook requests to ensure departmental policies are followed.
  • Provide administrative support for student and course instruction by scheduling advising appointments, processing prerequisite overrides, handling credit-by-exam requests, managing independent study petitions, and coordinating administrative course cancellations.
  • Enter teaching assignments into LionPath each semester and monitor course enrollment figures, making updates as needed to ensure accurate scheduling and reporting.
  • Perform additional tasks, including updating the undergraduate website with current information, maintaining departmental bulletin boards, processing room reservation requests, and providing general support to staff and faculty as needed.

The Academic Program Coordinator will be responsible for managing tasks both independently and collaboratively, using strong organizational and multitasking skills to fulfill the role's responsibilities. This position is in-person, with a flexible work arrangement upon successful completion of training. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and supporting student success

  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Prior experience in an administrative support role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with database systems is preferred.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS) 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $38,300.00 - $55,500.00.
