The Manager, Performance Management is an integral part of Nutrien's Total Rewards Center of Excellence reporting to the Senior Manager, Compensation. This exciting opportunity within the Human Resources (HR) function, enables Nutrien's people strategy and culture. This role is responsible for the design and implementation of global people programs and activities within Nutrien's Total Rewards team, to support the business.This role supports Nutrien's HR community in identifying opportunities and driving solutions to successfully implement performance management and goal setting strategies within Nutrien's operations and functional areas. This role will design and manage the employee performance management program against core competencies and organizational objectives. The ideal candidate has a passion for driving Nutrien's Purpose of Feeding the Future through cultural transformation.

What you will do:




  • Responsible for managing the performance management program and system, goals, initiatives, monitoring progress, providing feedback, identifying opportunities for employees, and aligning individual performance with overall strategic objectives.



  • Serve as trusted advisor to HRBPs and business leaders through effective consultation and interpretation on all areas of performance management and goal setting that drive the organizations strategy.



  • Work with other HR stakeholders to understand Nutrien's succession planning and development programs across the organization in order to design employee performance management strategies that align with the company's core competencies and organizational objectives.



  • Strategize on improvement of employee performance that aligns to talent programs, succession planning, employee development and retention.



  • Develop goal setting strategies to drive the business mission and support the performance management program.



  • Collaborate with HRIS on improving and managing a robust, user-friendly performance management and goal setting system.



  • Lead communication, change management and training initiatives, in support of the employee annual/check-in performance management and goal setting programs.



  • Train leaders to ensure effective goal setting, performance evaluations, and alignment with Nutrien's strategy and core values.



  • Support the business and HR in the development of metrics and data analytics to support performance management and goal setting efforts.



  • Lead a team of professionals, providing mentoring, coaching, and development.

What you will bring:




  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.



  • 8+ years progressive experience in Human Resources, leading performance management and goal setting programs.



  • 2+ years of management/leadership experience.



  • Experience working with the SuccessFactors / myHR Talent Suite preferred.



  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.



  • An exceptional team player and collaborator.



  • Highly motivated and self-aware with a commitment to individual learning, growth and development.



  • The ability to think and act tactically and strategically, while positively influencing others through strong communication skills (both verbal and written).



  • Strong planning, attention to detail, and design thinking skills including strategy development, project management, and change management with experience leading and implementing complex projects and initiatives.



  • Demonstrated experience as a trusted advisor and thought partner with HR and leaders.



  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to align talent data and insights with business opportunities.





Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range $115,900 - $215,200/annually. This range is estimated for the Manager, Performance Management role in Loveland, Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our plan(s), which provide discretionary award opportunities reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
