The Department of Corrections, Bureau of Correctional Industries, is seeking an organized, positive individual to provide clerical support within the Customer Service Department at our facility. If you are a dedicated individual with a positive attitude, organized, and detail oriented, as well as having a strong interest in clerical work, this may be the position for you.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will be providing support in the Customer Service Department performing duties to include but not limited to the following. Communicating with customers or potential customers and researching inquiries, shortages, over shipments, pricing, status checks, etc. to aid in the resolution of customer service calls. Editing, reviewing, proofing and preparing all orders electronically so they can be made available to the Pennsylvania Correctional Industries' plants. Assisting in managing and maintaining Customer Records within SAP to keep information current. Providing guidance to new employees pertaining to product knowledge, shop orders, invoices, and order entry in the Sales & Distribution/SAP System. This position will also assist the CI Sales Representatives and Sales & Marketing Manager with special projects as needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Free parking at this facility.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
