Duties, Responsibilities & Other

The Supply Chain Manager 5 plays a critical role in overseeing procurement, supplier relations, process improvement, and inventory management for the Construction Services sector. This individual will act as a liaison between project teams and corporate accounting functions to ensure efficient and accurate accounts payable (AP) processes, while leading efforts to improve purchase order workflows and enhance supply chain operations across the division.

Key responsibilities include:

Accounts Payable and Procurement Oversight:

    Oversee the AP process for the Construction Services sector.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure timely invoice routing and approvals.
  • Follow up with the corporate AP team to ensure payments are accurate and timely.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels across projects.
  • Track stock movements and manage delivery and transfer of materials to ensure project timelines are met.

Process Improvement:

  • Analyze and evaluate current purchase order (PO) workflows.
  • Recommend and implement improvements related to PO approvals, invoice matching, and receiving procedures.

Training and Development:

  • Train staff on new supply chain processes and procedures.
  • Support managers in monitoring and reinforcing adherence to established workflows.

Supplier Management:

  • Facilitate onboarding of new vendors to meet project and corporate compliance standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance to ensure quality and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working in a construction or project-based environment preferred.
