Medical Receptionist - Patient Care Representative Washington, DC Pay From: $20 per hour MUST: Experienced Medical Receptionist - Patient Care Representative 2 plus years of Medical Receptionist - Patient Care Representative Must be bilingual Spanish and English or Sign Language (ASL) Must have medical front desk experience, including greeting patients, answering phone calls, and managing faxes Must have experience handling prior authorizations within the medical field Experience with revenue cycle is highly preferred DUTIES: Answer phone calls professionally and manage faxes, emails, and other forms of correspondence Schedule appointments, manage referrals, and provide patients with accurate information regarding their care plans Assist patients with insurance verification, resolving issues related to coverage, eligibility, and co-pays Work collaboratively with behavioral health, pathology, and oncology teams as needed Ensure inclusive and empathetic communication for patients from diverse backgrounds Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform additional front desk tasks, such as processing payments and coordinating medical documentation.
