ABOUT THE JOB The Inventory Associate reconciles the quantity variances report each month and communicates with locations to help them resolve discrepancies. This position is also responsible for advising locations on inventory transactions when needed. WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
- Enters cost changes into the computer system and reconciles cost variances created by these changes.
- Organizes inventory adjustment documents for the inventory analyst.
- Reviews cost variance items with the inventory analyst and business units.
- Maintains the Oracle and Agvance systems and inventory setups.
- Helps with the Year End Audit and pulling necessary information.
- Reviews inventory discrepancies at each month end and reaches out to locations as needed.
- Communicates and advises locations about cost problems from transactional issues.
- Reports unresolved discrepancies to leadership each month.
- Performs general administrative duties such as typing, filing, etc.
- Participates in year-end inventory counts.
- Performs monthly gross profit and shrink reviews and works with locations on corrections.
- Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
- Other work-related duties as assigned by leader.
- Reliable and regular attendance is required.
- Follows all company policies and procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Five years of related work experience is required.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Filing and copying skills.
- Ability to read, write and speak in English is required.
- Communicating in Spanish is a valuable skill at Helena.
- Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office are required.
Successful completion of a drug screen and background check
is required for all positions at Helena. WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF THE JOB The work environment for this position is that of a typical office environment where the noise level is mostly quiet.
