DEPARTMENT: HELENA CORPS This role operates seasonally, from July 5 - October 31. GENERAL STATEMENT: SCOPE OF POSITION: The Youth Program Coach reports to the Athletic Director and is responsible for the supervision and coordination of the youth sports team. Managing the youth team and volunteers. Maintaining contact with parents, team and volunteers of practices and game times. Coaching the youth to develop better skills in their sport, as well as a good team player. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: * Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: * Detail oriented and attention to detail SOFTWARE-RELATED SKILLS: * Microsoft Word and Excel helpful ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Work a non-standard work week generally in accordance with The Salvation Army athletic programs, tournaments, gym rentals or events. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. Parental Leave: The benefit is 40 hours of Paid Leave for qualifying events. Sick Leave: 12 days of Sick Leave annually accruing from day one, eligible for use after three months' service time.
