The Microsoft Licensing Senior Associate will be a fundamental resource for both our customers and internal consultants for all licensing needs in the Microsoft Office suite of licenses as well as Dynamics 365 and Power Platform product families. This role will be working with internal consultants as well as directly with customers to understand and identify licensing solutions. This role will also assist with addressing Microsoft license related cases/calls for dispatch to available team members or RSM consulting teams for remediation and identifying appropriate resources to transfer\escalation\reassignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Microsoft Licensing Guidance
  • Act as licensing resource for both Microsoft and Dynamics 365 product families
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Microsoft licensing programs, including CSP, Agreement for Online Services for Government (AOS-G) and other relevant agreements
  • Stay up to date with latest licensing changes, updates and best practices
  • Provide accurate and timely licensing guidance to customers and internal consultants
  • Work with clients and RSM consultants on ground to cloud transitions of Microsoft Dynamics 365 products utilizing licensing expertise including recommendations on products, impact to licenses, ramifications, and timing of purchase
  • RSM Microsoft Licensing Desk
  • Assist with coverage on RSM Microsoft Licensing Desk ticket boards.
  • Entering cases as they arrive through email, manual entry, or direct customer and consulting team input.
  • Scheduling of resources to ensure proper response time and needs are met for customers and RSM teams.
  • Escalation of priority issues and customer and internal teams to ensure prompt follow up/resolution.
  • Assistance with Microsoft Support ticket submissions and follow up for license related issues.
  • Serve as liaison between customer and Microsoft Support to ensure timely replies from Microsoft Support.
  • Assistance with managing user access to both customer and internal Microsoft tenants.
  • Coordination of customer onboarding and ongoing access to RSM licensing self-service portal

Required skills/preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent licensing related experience
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft licensing programs and agreements
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with others
  • Interpersonal skills: communication, active listening and customer-care
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, proactively multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
  • Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services.
  • Self-starter - able to work independently and prioritize without consistent direction
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
