Vice President, North America Value-Added Services (VAS) Finance, is a senior role within the company, responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, commercial deals, and analysis efforts.This leader must possess strong financial acumen, excellent analytical and strategic planning skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information in an accessible way and the ability to build and nurture strong teams.VAS is Visa's fastest growing unit, driving growth in and beyond Payments. With diverse product portfolios, VAS is a key pillar of growth. The Vice President, North America VAS is essential to this dynamic environment.

This highly visible role will have significant exposure to VAS President, Product and Sales leaders, and Group CFO. Reporting to the VAS CFO, this position will play a key part in driving the global agenda, strategic analysis, and decision-making progress.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the creation of long-range plans, annual budgets and regular financial forecasts, ensuring they accurately reflect the company's strategic goals
  • Analyze financial data and performance, identifying trends and making recommendations to improve financial performance
  • Lead development of quarterly business updates to the senior management, providing clear insights into the financial status and performance
  • Work closely with sales and product leaders to ensure financial strategies align with company goals, and communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders
  • Manage commercial Deals to drive revenue and profitability for VAS products
  • Design and evaluate sales compensation structures to align with revenue goals. Manage sales efficiency metrics, quota-setting, and incentive structures
  • Drive improvements in budget and forecasting processes, in partnership with Corporate, global and regional product teams
  • Coordinate closely with Controllership and Region/Function FP&A to manage the monthly close and conduct monthly & quarterly results analysis of business performance
  • Oversee a high performing 10+ member team, fostering a positive and thriving work environment

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

15 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD)

Professional

MBA or relevant graduate degree from top-tier institution or similar academic experience

15+ years of experience in Finance

Financial Services or Technology company experience strongly preferred

Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor

Financial Leadership:

Drives sound decision-making through effective forecasting, reporting, and analysis of results and business drivers

Expert at structuring, managing, and communicating complex analysis, working across functions and with multiple stakeholders

Drives an efficient and effective process for developing financial plans and analysis that links to the strategic objectives

Ensures the highest level of effectiveness and continued skill development of the team

Business Leadership:

Strong executive presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior executives

Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence successfully within a highly matrixed organization

Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives across a breadth of stakeholders

Collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities

Team Leadership:

15+ years' experience in leading and managing a globally matrixed team

Committed to developing a strong and positive team culture and building a strong succession pipeline for the future

Demonstrated ability to inspire a team with a strategic vision

Ability to be an effective coach and have challenging employee conversations when necessary

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 236,300 to 369,300 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
