Job Details

Under the general direction of the VP of Commercial Operations, AHP is on the lookout for an experienced and strategic Director of Business Development and Project Management to lead and drive initiatives within our pharmaceutical contract packaging services. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in business development and project management.

  • Business Development:
    • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and strategic partnerships to expand the company's client base and increase revenue.
    • Support and drive effective proposals that address client needs.
    • Lead negotiations with potential clients and partners to secure contracts and establish long-term relationships.
    • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to enhance brand awareness and market presence.
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of packaging projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders to communicate project status, address concerns, and manage expectations.
    • Implement and refine project management methodologies to improve efficiency and performance.
    • Collaborate with customers to facilitate the successful launch of new products and creation of innovative package designs.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Direct operational development of new solutions by understanding strategic and tactical drivers as they relate to the overall market.
    • Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to company policies and client requirements.
    • Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.
    • Must be willing to travel as needed to business events such as customer meetings, industry & trade conferences.
    • Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Requires bachelor's degree; MBA preferred. Normally requires a minimum of 7+ years directly related and progressively responsible experience in life science sales, services to pharma, biotech, and/or medical device industries, business development and/or marketing combined with and/or project management.
  • Significant business development track record with working knowledge of successful strategic and consultative selling techniques, and ability to sell complex solutions
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical packaging processes, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent Organizational & Project Management skills. Ability to multi-task and work on several complex projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
