WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a driven Senior Product Manager who learns fast, who is humble and values teamwork; who is hungry and believes they can make our customers' world, and the open internet, a better place. The ideal candidate will be technical, data driven, creative, and business savvy. They will be growth oriented and able to strive for product-market fit with their teams.

The kind of person who joins The Trade Desk Product Team is fearless, courageous, passionate and willing to dream big and then execute on it. We are committed to helping you grow, challenging you with hard, meaningful work, and celebrating our successes and failures together. Yes, we do fail at times because we believe risk is part of making big bets. We take the risks and learn from them. We also value strong leadership, asking our PMs to take on large, ambitious and often ambiguous projects that can help extend our lead in the industry.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

As a product manager on the Retail team, you will be responsible for developing the strategy and executing a roadmap for a suite of tools that support our retail partners. These tools help retailers bring data to TTD both for their own advertising efforts or to scale their retail media businesses as third-party data providers across the open web. This requires working closely with partnerships, retailers, and engineering to deliver solutions that are easy to use and scale supporting long-term growth for both TTD and the retailers. The Trade Desk is focused on the buy side but is working to create win-win scenarios for our clients, our partners, and ourselves.

As a Product Manager for Retail at the Trade Desk, your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining the product strategy and features for the next generation of tools to help retailers bring data to TTD that improves targeting and measurement for themselves and advertisers across the open web.
  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for the retailer experience, however they work with The Trade Desk.
  • Working closely with stakeholders across our engineering, data science, and business teams - helping to align on strategy and thinking through tradeoffs and customer impact.
  • Gathering customer requirements, designing prototypes, prioritizing and scoping releases that represent customers' needs, and then working with the rest of the engineering team to bring those products to life and iterate on them over time.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • You have built complex products that take years of iterations to become great.
  • You can easily find answers in data and quickly iterate on the product.
  • 5+ years of Product Management experience.
  • Excellentcommunication/presentation skills both in large and small groups.
  • Demonstrable ability to align stakeholders across different disciplines.
  • Experience working with partners to shape their operating models to build sustainable businesses on top of TTD's class-leading technology.
  • A track record of making self-directed, end-to-end contributions to large and impactful software projects.
  • Ability to solve complex, technical problems with creative solutions while managing tradeoffs.
  • Ability to write detailed specifications that clearly articulate the 'why' behind the problem.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with distributed teams.
  • Experience working with partners or clients.
  • Background in software development, engineering, or data science.
