Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical summer intern to support a data validation initiative within our owned real estate portfolio. This intern will collaborate with our Real Estate, Tax, and Fixed Assets teams to validate property-level data, reconcile asset records, and identify optimization opportunities to support portfolio performance and data integrity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Review and validate core details for each owned property, including square footage, acquisition date, location classification, and asset use.
  • Collaborate with Tax and Fixed Assets teams to reconcile discrepancies in asset records and financial reporting.
  • Cross-reference internal systems, lease files, and property management data to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify data inconsistencies or gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support the development of a clean, centralized data model for owned assets.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for portfolio optimization and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare summary reports and present findings to leadership.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:



  • Currently enrolled in college majoring in Accounting, Business, Real Estate or Finance
  • General requirements include self-motivated individuals, involvement in activities outside college studies.
  • Above average GPA


Preferred qualifications:


  • Strong computer and advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Must possess a strong willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to adapt well to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities.
  • Ability to organize, perform and prioritize various functions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a team player, and able to work effectively with a diverse workforce and with various levels within the organization.
