WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Training Delivery: Lead classroom and hands-on training sessions for both new and existing employees on topics such as material handling, forklift & pedestrian safety, and all safety procedures, quality assurance, and nVent-specific processes.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with operational leaders to create and update training materials, work instructions, process maps, and SOP's. Build training materials such as manuals, videos, and presentations that are clear, engaging, and aligned with warehouse operations and safety standards.
  • Onboarding Support: Conduct new hire orientation and ensure all new employees are introduced to warehouse policies, safety procedures, and job-specific tasks.
  • Training Compliance: Provide regular reports to warehouse management regarding training completion rates, performance gaps, and areas for improvement. Promote a safe work environment for all employees
  • Record Keeping: Maintain training records, pre-shift start up records, attendance, certifications for compliance or trainings
  • Work closely with leadership, peers, and operations to identify opportunities for process improvements, modify training solutions to enhance effectiveness.
YOU HAVE:
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience required. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a training coordinator or similar role in a distribution warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
  • Must acquire forklift certification within 30 days of starting employment.
  • Experience in conducting safety, compliance, and operational training in a warehouse setting is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient skills using the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, and Visio; intermediate/advanced skill level with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle various employee comprehension levels.
  • Ability to apply strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to meet physical demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist in physical training activities, such as operating equipment during training. Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse environment for extended periods.
