Staffmark is
currently seeking an experienced Accountant for a direct hire opportunity in Morristown, TN. This is your chance to work in a collaborative environment where your financial expertise will directly impact business performance.

Salary: $70,000-$85,000/year (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

In this role, you will be a strategic financial partner, supporting operational efficiency and profitability within a manufacturing setting. Your focus will include cost analysis, budgeting, inventory control, and reporting-providing leadership with the financial insights needed to drive continuous improvement and smart decision-making.

Responsibilities



  • Analyze cost structures including materials, labor, and overhead
  • Lead and support annual budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Monitor manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, scrap rates, and inventory turns
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on CAPEX projects and cost-saving initiatives
  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and performance summaries
  • Manage inventory valuation, reserves, and cycle counts
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial controls
  • Identify and drive improvements in financial systems and processes



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years of financial analysis experience, with 2+ years in manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; ERP experience preferred (Infor M3 a plus)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
