Head of HR for the Global Division Robotics and HR Workstream Leader

Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a hands-on, dynamic, result-driven highly skilled and resilient Business HR Project Man-ager to lead and coordinate the business related HR carve-out activities as part of a major global spin-off project. This is a critical role supporting the transition of ~7000 employees across 50+ countries into a newly independent, listed company. Perfect fit for the position is a person who enjoys driving change, strategic thinking with ability to implement and collaborating across cultures.
You will be part of a dedicated, cross-functional carve-out team and act as the representative of the Robotics business within the HR Workstream, reporting directly to the HR Workstream Lead. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of HR, transformation, and global business strategy - driving a significant organizational change.

The project is expected to last in minimum 12 months, unique opportunity to join a Spin off project where you can contribute to every HR related challenge during the carve out and setup a newly listed company. Start date can be agreed upon.
The position will report to the Head of HR for the Global Division Robotics and HR Workstream Leader.
Key Responsibilities:
* Represent the Robotics business within the HR PMO executing the global HR carve-out plan, covering 50 countries and 7000 employees. This team will coordinate between Global HR, Country HR, Legal, Payroll, and external advisors to deliver people-related carve-out activities on time and within scope.
* Support the Robotics business in establishing a detailed scope per country / per function of employees that will transfer, in agreement with the Robotics management team and the country carve out managers.
* Monitor Day 0 and Day 1 readiness (together with the HR team transferring to the new company ) ensure that the key HR services are in place within the Robotics business (either built up or supported by an ABB TSA). All HR functions and services will need to be considered, including pensions, legal entity preparations and transfers, payroll separation, contracts, policies, labor relations, organisational setup, benefits, recruitment etc.
* Provide, protect and verify any information / data related to the Robotics organisation, employees, build up principles as needed to collaborate with the general project management office, other functions and external stakeholders.
* Collaborate with the Robotics management team in setting up their future target operating model by communicating timelines, labor relations or labor law restrictions, project interdependencies, re-cruitment of build up roles, etc.
* Proactively identify risks and ensure solutions are in place.
* Act as the day-to-day point of contact for project stakeholders globally and in local units
* Ensure local compliance, legal integrity, and smooth transition of employees
* Create clear documentation and reporting for leadership and key stakeholders
* Drive alignment and consistency across regions and functions
* Support employee communications and change management efforts in collaboration with Comms and local teams

Qualifications for the role
  • Experience leading HR projects in fast-moving environments (M&A, carve-outs, or similar transformation projects
  • Strong global HR knowledge and awareness of country-specific employment legislation and labor prac-tices
  • Strong understanding in HR Operations, and experience working across complex, matrix organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, high-pressure projects with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent stakeholder management, planning, and coordination skills
  • High attention to detail with an ability to work under ambiguity
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR, Business, Law, or related field
  • Excellent in English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Flexibility to work with global teams, the global project management office and workstreams will mainly be working during European office hours
