The Senior EHS Specialist role will be responsible for developing and implementing programs and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental health and safety regulations. This role will conduct regular inspections and audits to meet the sites' reporting requirements. Acting as a liaison to our Global Environmental Health & Safety organization, the Specialist EHS Sr will focus on Global Risk Procedures, including air emissions, waste management, and stormwater protocols. Additionally, this role will drive the execution of site-specific targets and objectives in alignment with Donaldson's overarching environmental, health, and safety strategies. Based in Frankfort, IN, the Specialist EHS Sr role will support both the Frankfort and Monticello facilities.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage potential environmental hazards and risks to employee health and safety within an organization.

  • Create, execute, and sustain EHS programs and processes.

  • Perform regular inspections and risk assessments at facilities.

  • Investigate incidents and accidents, recommending corrective actions.

  • Stay informed about relevant regulations and standards.

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to enhance EHS awareness and drive continuous improvement.

  • Maintains site-specific compliance assurance processes to facilitate the timely completion of EHS-related compliance, training and preventive maintenance obligations.

  • Conducts employee training as outlined on the site's EHS Compliance Calendar.

  • Conducts sampling and data collection required to demonstrate compliance with the sites' environmental regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in EHS or will accept equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5 + years of experience in EHS work, including experience in a manufacturing setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in management of environmental compliance including Title V air permit and hazardous waste.

  • Excellent understanding of EHS regulations and standards.

  • Forklift experience.

  • Chemical waste tracking and labeling.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

  • Commitment to ethics, integrity, and compliance.
