QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Valid Arizona Driver's License and over 21 years of age
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Food Handlers Permit
  • Background Check required and Fingerprint Clearance Card Required
  • Must pass Salvation Army Drivers Safety Course
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in team environment


RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Utilize effective customer service skills when communicating with residents, potential residents, community agents, and Salvation Army staff.
  • Provide residents with prompt, courteous, and quality service.
  • Document all contacts in which facility information is exchanged or in which there occurred a confrontation.
  • Comply with State Health Codes regarding proper hygiene and appearance.
  • Perform the duties of home delivered meal driver for the LDSAC
  • Assist kitchen staff in packaging meals for home delivery
  • Deliver meals in accordance with Area Agency requirements.
  • Deliver meals in a timely manner, returning to the Center immediately upon completion of route
  • Provide recipients with envelopes for making confidential donations on a daily basis. Advise recipients of suggested donation at least quarterly. This duty does not apply to ALTECS participants.
  • Turn in all monies collected from home delivered meal clients Immediately upon return to the Center
  • Obtain client signatures for all meals delivered according to Area Agency policy.
  • Driver will transport senior program participants to various markets according to schedule.
  • Conduct safety inspections of vehicles on a daily basis - reporting any repairs on inspection sheet.
  • Assist in the development of a maintenance schedule for all vehicles and arrange for maintenance as scheduled.
  • Maintain cleanliness of meal delivery carriers and multi-purpose senior operation vehicles.
  • Clean HDM vehicles inside and outside weekly.
  • Log mileage at the beginning and ending of each day.
  • Other duties may include assisting the staff in other program areas, when requested and the need arises.
  • Assist in the implementation of annual Thanksgiving HMD Program and in the implementation of the annual Thanksgiving and Christmas parties for tenants and program participants.
  • Provide LDSAC Team with support and participation to ensure an effective Center with successful programs.
  • Provide back-up and assistant when the janitor is absent in helping to maintain the Center.
  • Be aware that work hours are subject to change to accommodate the needs of the Center and its programs. This may include a change of days off.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned by the Director and or direct supervisor.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the employee to be physically active and may require the employee to stand for up to 2 hours or more at a time; must be able to walk, run, and reach and grasp with hands and arms. Ability to operate a keyboard is essential. Ability to operate under stressful working conditions in a rapidly changing work environment with multiple priorities is required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

This position requires the employee to work under stressful conditions, be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects in an organized and efficient manner to meet the tight deadlines, respond to crisis situations in a claim and effective manner, interact with others with courtesy and tact, complete projects in schedule, main confidentiality and maintain regular and punctual work attendance.
