Sr. Advanced Systems Engineer
Position: Senior Advanced Systems Engineer/Active Secret Clearance required

Role Overview
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, analysis, and testing of advanced networks and information systems. You will support the entire systems engineering life cycle, working on mission-critical solutions that meet stringent government security and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Engineering & Technical Analysis
Analyze and manage system and customer requirements Conduct functional and performance analysis Perform system design, trade studies, and systems integration Support system verification, validation, and interface definition
Project & Risk Management
Perform technical planning, including cost, schedule, risk, and supportability analysis Define system requirements and allocate them to subsystems and components Develop technical solutions and assess their feasibility based on vendor data and documentation
Security & Accreditation
Ensure compliance with government security specifications Support system accreditation/certification, including testing of:
Develop or update system security documentation
Collaboration & Communication
Modeling & Simulation
Leadership & Process Development
Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers Define and improve technical processes for system specification, input/output design, and platform compatibility Decompose high-level requirements into manageable, agile-friendly tasks to avoid overengineering

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a systems engineer.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Agile experience.
- Creative, innovative responsibilities need advanced decision-making skills.
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Multi-level security domain expertise (and cross-domain).
- A working relationship with related people from Iridium, SDA, Northrop, York, and Lockheed.
- System-level networking person who can face off with the GFE WAN provider and coordinate detailed network design.
- Someone who can understand what is in and out of scope and manage that complexity.
