Overview
The Department for Children and Families' Child Development Division (CDD) is hiring for a temporary CIS Personnel Development (PD) Coordinator. This position works in CDD's Children's Integrated Services (CIS) team, which implements a system of early intervention, family support, and prevention services that help ensure the healthy development and well-being of young children. At this time, we are anticipating that this position will work approximately 40 hours per week. We have a diverse team that relies on teamwork and collaboration. We welcome applicants with different and/or unique backgrounds, experiences, and/or perspectives to join our team. We are seeking applicants who are reliable, creative, self-motivated, and are able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Needed experience includes working with young children and families, especially those with specialized needs or risk factors, as well as providing professional development, technical assistance, coaching and/or mentoring, and consultation to staff working with young children and families. Experience in implementing policies and processes that minimize differences in client service utilization , as well as maximize provider recruitment and retention. Who May Apply
This position, CIS Personnel Development (PD) Coordinator - Temporary (Job Requisition #52721), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours, and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week. AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS: Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. Environmental Factors
Duties are primarily performed in both a standard office and field settings. Private means of transportation must be available for required travel. A variety of meetings and public hearings may require some evening work. Strong conflicting opinions on policy, program implementation and allocation of resources may be encountered. Minimum Qualifications
Education: Master's degree in education, human services, public administration or related field. Experience: Three year's of experience in education or human service organization, including one at administrative, consultative or planning level, preferably in child or family services. OR Education: Bachelor's degree in education, human services, organizational development, public administration or related human services field. Experience: Five years experience as described above.
