Posting Summary
Rutgers University-New Brunswick (RU-NB), a nationally ranked research university and member of the Association of American Universities and the Big Ten Academic Alliance, located in New Brunswick, New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator I.

Reporting to an Assistant Dean, RBS-New Brunswick Undergraduate Programs, this position is responsible for and not limited to the following:

  • Assesses transfers of students' academic records and makes appropriate determinations based upon faculty criteria as to whether various courses from another institution will be accepted for credit at Rutgers Business School - New Brunswick
  • Assists with implementation, monitoring, and provides administrative support of the New Jersey State-Wide County College Articulation Agreement
  • Handles Study Abroad course equivalency evaluations and approvals
  • Provides administrative assistance to the Rutgers Business School Academic Advisement Office

Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or discontinuation, and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of coordination, organization, facilitation, report analysis, writing, and promotion/outreach
  • Requires a minimum of two years relevant experience in a program coordination or administrative function, good communication skills, and computer literacy

Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree and/or related experience
  • Must be able to multitask and handle a diverse range of responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
  • Requires excellent team, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills as well as computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
  • Strong problem solving and prioritizing skills needed

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with previous experience at an institute of higher education preferably working with transcript evaluations
