Position Summary
Organization: The Mind Research Network Location: 1101 Yale Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106 An Off-Campus Work-Study Position - MUST have a Work-Study Award Summary A work-study program assistant position is available in Dr. Andrew Mayer's laboratory at The Mind Research Network in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dr. Mayer's research team focuses on using MRI to assess recovery after traumatic brain injury in Veterans, civilian adults, athletes, and children. We are seeking a student with excellent organizational skills to assist our study coordinators with onsite data management, collection, and analysis, as well as, basic operational duties. This position requires predominantly evening shifts. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Organizing study folders, checking for completeness and accuracy. Data entry. Performing literature searches and online research according to project requirements. Assist with recruitment of study participants, data collection, and analysis. Laboratory processing of participant samples (blood, saliva). Preliminary data analysis. Administrative duties such as answering calls, directing participants, and assisting with document management. Other duties within these areas may be assigned as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information. Computer skills with proficiencies in both Word and Excel are a must. Required: 18 years of age or older High School Diploma Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals. Drug Screening
Preferred: Data entry experience Prior experience in a lab setting and data analysis
