This key Customer Service and Sales role, performed on-site in our Port St. Lucie Florida Blue Center provides customer service, selling insurance products, and promoting value-added services to individuals and small groups in Florida, while also identifying and retaining at-risk customers.
What are the Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Customer Service: Resolve healthcare and insurance-related issues for customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Educate and Guide: Educate members on self-service tools and guide them to value-based providers.
- Sell Insurance Products: Sell health and ancillary insurance products to individuals and small groups in Florida.
- Identify and Retain At-Risk Customers: Identify at-risk customers and develop strategies to retain them.
- Facilitate Enrollment and Fulfillment: Facilitate the application process, underwriting, and enrollment, and deliver product fulfillment materials to new customers.
- Promote Value-Added Services: Promote and facilitate APO enrollment and set-up, and host video appointments to generate leads for new sales and referrals.
What is Required:
- 3+ years of experience in a sales and service environment
- State of Florida 2-40 license (must be obtained within 60 days of hire)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and familiarity with internet and web-based tools
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays ( usually scheduled several weeks, etc in advance)
- Hires in this role, employed by Florida Blue, are only permitted to schedule appointments with Florida Blue, USAble, FCL and Health Options ( No other health and life appointments can be scheduled with any other company while employed by Florida Blue)
What is Preferred:
- Experience with health insurance products to include individual and group plans
- Bilingual in Spanish/English
- Bachelor's degree in a related field Marketing
General Physical Demands:
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Hourly Pay Range: $20 - $33
Typical Hourly Pay Range: $20 - $25
