Overview of this Position:

The Training Coordinator supports quality control and assurance by training and mentoring the microbiology department in environmental monitoring, in-process microbiology testing, water testing, gas testing, and any required client specific testing.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related field.
  • 4 or more years of related work experience in a lab or pharma, biopharma, and/or biotech manufacturing environment.
  • Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience working in an Aseptic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Map out training plans and schedules and designing/developing training programs.
  • Audit job code curriculum and lead the design and development of training materials.
  • Identify appropriate training methods per case (virtual, simulated, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes, etc.).
  • Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session.
  • Perform audits for training effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform on the floor audits of training execution and materials.
  • Perform any training or SOP/TM revisions that result from Action Items/CAPAs.
  • Maintain qualifications for routine Micro tasks.
  • Support routine tasks as needed including, but not limited to water sampling, environmental monitoring, and compressed gas sampling.
  • Serve as primary trainer for tasks performed by Microbiology staff.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment - including coordination of calibration and preventative maintenance.
  • Comply with applicable GMPs.
  • Maintain good practices with regards to processes and/or internal conditions leading to an aseptic environment.
  • Maintain laboratory logbooks and other forms to document proper GLP testing.
