We are in search of a Business Analyst I or Business Analyst II to join our Business Analysis department in Spokane, Washington. This full-time position reports to the Director, Business Analysis and is primarily accountable for assisting business teams in gathering requirements, evaluating processes, recommending solution options, and implementing processes and technologies that enable the organization to meet its strategic objectives. The Business Analyst II also operates in a project management capacity to ensure successful completion of assigned small to medium projects.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule and one-time home office stipend after initial training period.

Compensation Information

The base salary range for this position in Spokane, Washington is:

Level I: $52,300 - $79,000; bonus at target is 8% of salary.

Level II: $58,500 - $88,200; bonus at target is 8% of salary.

Job Requirements

  • Work with business teams to develop, clearly articulate, and document business requirements that align with intended business outcomes.
  • Lead and participate in business process improvement, solution design, building and testing sessions to ensure options are fully explored and results meet expectations.
  • Research and develop business case recommendations (supported by cost/benefit analysis) for achieving business outcomes.
  • Assist in implementing business process and/or technical solutions that improve organizational efficiencies and customer experience across all business areas.
  • Coordination implementation of business process and/or technical solutions that improve organizational efficiencies and customer experience across all business areas.
  • Perform post-implementation analysis to measure adoption of new processes and technologies to identify potential gaps; coordinate follow up actions with appropriate teams.
  • Coordinate and participate in journey mapping sessions to identify personas and journeys; create professional deliverables including opportunities for management review and action.
  • May spend approximately 20% of time in a project management capacity to coordinate work for specific project areas or small projects.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with AgWest's project management and business analysis methodologies and meets all product development IT general control requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date information in project portfolio systems; generate and distribute timely reports.
  • Facilitate the Innovation Station process by taking point on assigned items; obtain additional information on requests to determine next steps.
  • Support monthly calls to staff detailing changes by drafting materials and assisting with facilitation as needed.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of AgWest business practices, products and key systems.
  • Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, information systems, computer sciences, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Generally, requires at least three to five years of business analysis or related experience, ideally in financial institution operations
  • Ability to apply business analysis and project management concepts to a broad range of business scenarios
  • Ability to research, write and clearly communicate business information
  • Ability to train other project managers and business analysts
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, organize and control assigned activities
  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Skills in MS Visio or other process mapping tools
  • PBA, CBAP or similar preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of business case preparation and business requirement elicitation techniques
