DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Assistant Director, you will manage and direct staff as well as control all activities in support of budget planning and analysis for Department of Health state, federal, and special funds appropriations and augmenting revenue accounts. You will provide fiscal input to assist with DOH program changes, manage budget activities, compile data to support programs, and develop standard guidelines. This role requires effective communication to deliver complex information and strong analytical skills to review fiscal reports, regulations, policies, and procedures. In addition, you will ensure compliance with state budgetary policy, monitor the effectiveness of results, and provide direction in the absence of the Director. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 4 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in professional fiscal administration, one of which includes serving in a supervisory capacity, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year of professional supervisory experience in fiscal administration
