Title: Transportation Management Specialist
Location: Virtual
Additional locations may include any large Olin manufacturing site or corporate location, including Houston, TX, Clayton, MO, Charleston, TN, Freeport, TX, Lake Jackson, TX, Plaquemine, LA, or McIntosh, AL

Salary: $85,500 - $129,500

Focus: The Transportation Management Specialist is responsible for coordinating with the appropriate stakeholders regarding the optimization of logistic processes and systems. This role will serve as the Global Subject Matter Expert for the SAP TM (Transportation Management) Module and other related applications across all modes of transportation. This role will also support and guide logistics users globally on the most efficient business processes.

Transportation Management Specialist Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop and refine training documents and consult with the business users regarding the implementation of required process changes and/or system capabilities.
  • Manage Freight Agreements within TM for regional and global transportation needs by partnering with Procurement Logistics to ensure rate structures and agreements are designed to leverage system capabilities.
  • Maintain calculation sheets, rate tables and master data within TM to support daily operations which include additional Agreement Parties, Dispute Approvers, Default Routes, etc.
  • Manage third party user access across relevant systems and applications such as Olin's Carrier Collaboration Portal and Terminal Webpage.
  • Drive and support continuous improvement efforts by working with the business users to identify opportunities for improvement and test and validate system enhancements across all TM related tools.
  • Support the implementation of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) for Olin's transportation partners which includes testing and troubleshooting.
  • Serve as the Diversion Coordinator working with functional business users to support the return process across Olin's global network.
Transportation Management Specialist Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree* in Engineering, Supply Chain or a Business discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with transportation management system(s).
    • SAP Transportation Management (TM) module preferred.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.
  • May be required to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) if working on site at certain Olin locations.
