Posting Summary
Rutgers School of Health Professions ( SHP) is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant to work in the Clinical and Preventive Nutrition Sciences Department.
Reporting to Dr. Shristi Rawal, Primary Investigator, the Temporary Research Assistant will assist with the day-to-day operations and the ongoing research projects in the Rawal Nutrition and Health Lab. Candidate must have completed a Bachelor of Arts or Science in public health, nutrition, psychology, biomedical sciences, or related field. The Temporary Research Assistant will also work on IRB protocols, data collection and analysis, participant recruitment, and/or assist with preparation of research abstracts, manuscripts, posters and oral presentations.

Applicants should include a cover letter, a curriculum vitae including a publication list, and contact information for three references familiar with their work.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Assists in the development and renewal of IRB protocols.
  • Assists in data collection and data analysis.
  • Participant in recruitment and assessment.
  • Conducts literature searches as assigned.
  • Assists in preparation of research abstracts and manuscript drafts, revisions, and submission in collaboration with the PI and graduate students.
  • Assists in preparation of posters and/or oral presentations as required in collaboration with the PI and graduate students.
  • Must be willing to have a flexible working schedule for participant assessment.

Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.   • This position will be from May 21, 2025 - November 21, 2025.
  • Daily work schedule: 9:00am to 2:00pm.
