Job Description

The University of Missouri Men's Basketball Program is seeking a special assistant to the head coach.

Responsibilities will include:

Directing daily operations of the sport program and providing oversight to ensure operations are running smoothly and productively.

Directly supporting the Whitten Family Men's Basketball Head Coach and providing department management by coordinating with the Head Coach and program directors.

Acting as a liaison between the Head Coach and the support staff.

Adapting departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges and working with the Head Coach in operational decision making.

Identifying and solving complex problems, providing guidance and direction.

Serving as a liaison to the basketball training room, weight room and academics.

Assisting with player/parent communication.

Coordinating all aspects of executive level manager appointments, meetings, receptions, and conference calls.

May prepare and review materials and correspondence for meetings. Assists with creation/modification of presentations, spreadsheets, and other various documents.

Performing all duties in compliance with NCAA, SEC, University and Department rules and regulations.

Shift

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights and Weekends as required by games.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in college athletics

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on ability and experience.

Grade: GGS MKT
