Job Description:

Cydecor is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support our NAVSEA customer in Washington, DC.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Formulation of budget and cost estimates, presenting and defending budget estimates, review and evaluation of budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures throughout cycles of the DOD PPBES, coordinate POM with the sponsor; coordinate and administer program, BFM planning and budget formulation, submission, justification, and execution services; interpret programming and budgeting guidance and constraints.
  • Perform multiple ERP queries (ZRQIS2) one for each FY we wish to track
  • Perform expert-level validation of data by someone familiar with DoD finance (NEPS, ERP, PBIS) (controls vs. authorizations, Outstanding obligations vs Gross obligations, benchmark logic.
  • Translate financial reporting needs and reporting to Power BI developers for technical development and financial data retrieval and reporting needs.
  • Perform review and recommend revisions to Power BI reporting due to unreliable automation.
  • Collect, evaluate and prepare reports on contractor cost and schedule and assist in the preparation of acquisition documents.
  • May draft and review schedules, milestones, work and time-phased management plans to ensure commitments are efficiently and effectively addressed.
  • Oversee development, implementation and execution of financial management, from oversight controls to review, measure and tracking of status.
  • May develop, determine, and interpret policies and practices to achieve effective and efficient use of funds and review and track status.
  • Translate technical requirement into funding and procurement requests, work with Contracting Officers to ensure requirements are properly executed.
  • Analyze supporting activities' conformance with plans and schedules; work with managers to resolve conflicts and issues.
  • Manage obligations and expenditures
  • Use MS PowerPoint when developing briefings

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of experience in financial analysis
  • 5-10 years specific experience with Navy customer environment
  • Fully conversant with MS Office applications; particularly Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of PPBE process including PBIS
  • Conversant in use of Power BI Apps
  • U.S. Citizen with anActive Secret Clearance (Final or Interim)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Finance preferred.
  • Experience working with Navy ERP, ADVANA, DEAMS, or other DoD systems and data environments.
  • Experience supporting NAVSEA customers.

Work Schedule: M-F, 0800-1600 - mostly remote but occasional travel to customer site in Washington, DC is possible.

Compensation and Benefits:

The projected compensation range for this position is $125,000 - $140,000. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.
