Vitro is looking for a General Maintenance Mechanic that is responsible for performing plant maintenance in a safe and orderly manner in order to maintain a high level of production in the plant. The incumbent observes all Vitro environmental policies in the performance of his/her duties in order to minimize any potential impact on the environment. They observes all safety rules and procedures, performs work in a safe and orderly manner, maintains good housekeeping in specific work areas and assists in this endeavor throughout the plant. The incumbent must have the ability to troubleshoot and effect necessary repair, adjustment or construction of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment throughout the plant as relates to the following areas of qualification: welding, millwrighting, pipefitting and electrical work. The position is part of a continuous operation (24 hours, 7 days/week), and has a rotating schedule.
