Overview

AmTrust is seeking a forward-thinking, data-driven actuary to enhance our pricing data, monitoring, and strategy. This role involves deep exploration of AmTrust's pricing data and reporting processes, from database analysis to dashboard creation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with data, optimizing pipelines and processes, and crafting compelling data

AmTrust is a customer-centric leader in small business commercial insurance, known for its agile and innovative pricing strategies. The successful candidate will be a key member of the commercial pricing team, ensuring the team has the data and analytics needed to make strategic decisions.



Responsibilities

    Develop and maintain dashboards to track pricing production and loss metrics.
  • Create and manage data tables storing pricing information and results.
  • Investigate and implement methods to improve data processes.
  • Collaborate with the predictive modeling team to integrate model results into pricing dashboards.
  • Define pricing segments and integrate them into the pricing process.
  • Automate metric calculation and reporting across commercial lines segments.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, or a related financial field.
  • Two to four years of actuarial experience.
  • Actively pursuing actuarial exams, with 3-5 exams passed.
  • Proficiency in Excel and SQL.
  • Proficiency in R or Python.
  • Experience with dashboard software such as PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Enthusiastic about working with data and improving data processes.

The salary range for this role is $74,000 - $110,000/year. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics. This range may be modified in the future.
