The Role

Support the Managing Director and Sr. Director of Play and Competition in the execution of the department's strategic initiatives focused on growing recreational tennis across the U.S. This role provides essential administrative and project support across multiple programs, helping drive the success of youth and adult competition, World Tennis Number, and Cardio Tennis initiatives.

    Provide administrative support to the Sr. Director of Play and Competition, managing calendars, scheduling, and correspondence.
  • Assist with departmental projects across youth pathway, adult competition, World Tennis Number, and Cardio Tennis events and initiatives.
  • Draft, edit, and format various documents including agendas, presentations, meeting summaries, reports, surveys, and internal communications.
  • Track and compile statistics and program data for departmental reporting and dashboards.
  • Provide virtual meeting support, including Zoom and Google Meet setup, backend navigation, registration management, and post-event distribution of recordings/materials.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, webinars, and conference calls.
  • Perform general clerical duties: document scanning, copying, mail handling, and shipping.
  • Maintain departmental attendance records and shared calendars.
  • Process financial transactions via Concur, including invoices, check requests, purchase orders, and reimbursements.
  • Organize and maintain legal and administrative files, including contracts, W-9s, COIs, waivers, and other required documentation.
  • Make and manage travel arrangements for staff and/or committee members as needed.
Who You Are
  • The role will start ASAP and end the first week of November
  • Equivalent administrative experience of a minimum of three years.
  • A tennis-playing background is helpful.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite & G-Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms), Adobe Photoshop, and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom & GoogleMeet.
  • Possess the ability to learn & manipulate new programs and processes.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Interpersonal & organizational skills - clear, friendly written and verbal communicator with extreme attention to detail.
  • This position is designated as "hybrid/flex" in Orlando and may allow remote and on-site work. Any such position must meet the current USTA hybrid/flex requirements, as updated occasionally.

The expected salary for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 hourly rate. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
